In addition to picking up Supergirl for Season 2 as well as the Archie Comics adaptation Riverdale, CBS has two more new projects on the horizon. The network will announce their 2016-2017 schedule next Thursday, May 19.

From the CBS side of things comes No Tomorrow, which shows what happens when a risk-averse, straight arrow, female procurement manager at an Amazon-like distribution center falls in love with a freewheeling man who lives life to the fullest because he believes the apocalypse is imminent, to comedic and poignant results they embark on a quest together to fulfill their individual bucket lists. (Yes, the network that gives us Legends of Tomorrow now will have a show called No Tomorrow. Great shades of Vampire and Carrie Diaries!)

Executive producers include Corinne Brinkerhoff (Jane the Virgin) and Maggie Friedman (Witches of East End). No Tomorrow’s cast includes Tori Anderson (Open Heart), Josh Sasse (Galavant), Sarayu Blue (The Real O’Neals), Amy Pietz (The Nine Lives of Chloe King), Jesse Rath (Defiance), and Jonathan Langdon (Special Correspondents).

Frequency is a reimagining of the New Line Cinema film, a female police detective in 2016 discovers she is able to speak via a ham radio with her estranged father (also a detective) who died in 1996. They forge a new relationship while working together on an unresolved murder case, but unintended consequences of the ‘butterfly effect’ wreak havoc in the present day. Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) is one of the Executive Producers.

Riley Smith (Nashville), Mekhi Phifer (ER), Peyton List (The Flash, Tomorrow People), Lenny Jacobson (Nurse Jackie), Anthony Ruivivar (Third Watch), Devin Kelley (Chernobyl Diaries), and Daniel Bonjour (The Walking Dead) star in the series.
