The first episode of ABC’s Forever launches the series in a special Monday night slot on Monday, September 22 before moving to Tuesdays at 10 on September 23.

IOAN GRUFFUDDThe show focuses on Dr. Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), New York City’s star medical examiner who has an unusual secret: he is immortal. His wealth of experience coming from his long life has given him amazing insight and observational skills, which come in handy around the time he meets Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). Joining him in his journey is the optimistic Abe (Judd Hirsch), is Henry’s best and only friend. In the pilot episode, (spoiler warning!) Dr. Morgan is killed in a train accident and then becomes involved with sorting the crime.

And before you ask… as far as we know, he is not a vampire.
