Doctor Who returns to BBC America for the last half of Series 6 on August 27, 2011 (a date for BBC One has not yet been confirmed).
The news came in a trailer released by the cable channel this morning.
Matt Smith returns as The Doctor, and Karen Gillan & Arthur Darvill return as Amy and Rory. Alex Kingston continues to appear in a recurring role as River Song.
