Prime Video today released the official trailer, key art, and new stills for Jensen Ackles‘ upcoming series Countdown. Jensen, of course, is a huge favorite around these parts for his roles on such series as Supernatural, The Boys, and going all the way back to Smallville.
Countdown is an action series created by Derek Haas, an executive producer from the One Chicago and FBI franchises. The show will debut exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on Wednesday, June 25, with a three-episode premiere. New episodes will follow weekly, leading up to the exhilarating season finale on Wednesday, September 3. Here’s how Prime Video describes it:
When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum, portrayed by Ackles, is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions.
In addition to Jensen Ackles, the show stars Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria) and Jessica Camacho (The Flash, Watchmen). The series also stars Violett Beane (The Flash, Death and Other Details), Elliot Knight (The Boys), and Uli Latukefu (Young Rock). Check out the newly-released images, trailer, and key art below!
