One of the more high-profile developments of the 2016-2017 TV development season was a reboot/prequel for Charmed, the classic WB Network show that was in contention for a comeback on The CW. Jane the Virgin’s Jennie Snyder Urman was involved with the reboot, but it was not picked up to pilot.
At the Executive Session of The CW’s portion of the Television Critics’ Association Press Tour, CW President Mark Pedowitz gave an update on the status of the project.
“It’s in redevelopment waiting to see what Jennie Urman wants to come back with,” Pedowitz said. “She’s busy right now with Jane, so it’s early in the development process, but we’re developing it, and hopefully it will come out,” he added.
