CRAIG’S CHOICES

Most Promising Trailer: Katy Keene, because I had no expectations, and I love that Ashleigh Murray’s Riverdale character Josie finally gets something to do! I know the trailer didn’t get a wide release; I saw it at upfronts, but trust me, it is great. Lucy Hale is always likable — and this time her character never had cancer! — and I’m predicting Jonny Beauchamp will be a surprise standout.

Most Anticipated New Show: I’m such a CW zombie I have to say I’m looking forward to all of them. Batwoman, of course, is a DC thing. Nancy Drew, I’m curious to see how they continue to pull it off. And Katy Keene will hopefully have more of a Riverdale Season 1 vibe than a Riverdale Season 3 feel.

Best Scheduling Move: I’m really liking the whole “Legacies staying with Supernatural” thing right now.

Worst Scheduling Move: Not having a Supernatural successor in place. Does that count? Beyond that, I hope the Friday moved for Charmed didn’t prematurely kill it. And I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when they decided to renew the low-rated In The Dark.

Most Likely New Hit: Batwoman. It’s a DC thing, it’s a Bat thing, it’s diversity, and I really like Ruby Rose as Kate Kane. And wait until you get a look at Rachel Skarsten’s creepy Alice!

Likely First Cancellation: In The Dark. I know it’s not back until midseason. Go with me on this.

What I’ll Be Watching in the Fall: It’s The CW, so the better question is, what won’t I be watching?
