AMC Networks has announced that Sundance Now and Shudder acquisition A Discovery of Witches will be simulcast on AMC and BBC America beginning Sunday, April 7th at 9:00.

We are thrilled to bring it to a wider audience and pair it with Killing Eve on both AMC and BBC America,” said Sarah Barnett, President of AMC Entertainment Networks. “This is a great example of our cross-network strategy; to expose our series to new audiences across our ecosystem of networks and streaming services.”
Based on the novel series from Deborah Harkness, with Kate Brooke (Mr Selfridge) developing for television, A Discovery of Witches follows Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer), a reluctant witch whose discovery of an ancient manuscript in Oxford’s Bodleian Library thrusts her into a dangerous underworld she’s not quite prepared for. The series follows Diana as she crosses paths with enigmatic vampire Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) and learns a family secret that changes everything.
A Sky One original production already renewed for seasons 2 and 3, A Discovery of Witches was acquired for OTT platforms Sundance Now and Shudder, which it debuted on in January to record-breaking numbers. The series caused Sundance Now subscriptions to jump 30% last month and accounted for more than half of all streaming activity on the platform during its first week of availability.
In addition to Palmer and Goode, A Discovery of Witches stars Alex Kingston (Doctor Who), Valarie Pettiford (Being Mary Jane), and Owen Teale (Game of Thrones).
