Deadline is reporting that CW political pilot Maverick has added Mark Moses (Mad Men) and Teen Wolf alum Pete Ploszek.
From Merigan Mulhern (Jane the Virgin), Maverick follows Kit (Reina Hardesty), the daughter of an authoritarian American president who believes her father to be a moral, decent man. However, once she gets outside of the White House bubble, her views are challenged by her peers at Georgetown University, so much so that she begins questioning her loyalty to her family. Will she stay true to her father despite what everyone says or will she join the growing resistance that threatens to take him down?
Moses will play President of the United States Charles Price, Kit’s charming, dignified father who has nefarious plans for his citizens.
Ploszek is set as Kit’s half-brother Sebastian, a member of his father’s administration who knows more than he lets on. He’s been Kit’s rock since the death of her mother.
Maverick is one of four traditional pilots in development at The CW, joining CBS castoff The Republic of Sarah, martial arts saga Kung Fu, and their third attempt at The Lost Boys. The network already gave straight-to-series orders to Superman & Lois and Walker and has backdoor pilots that would spinoff Arrow and The 100 if ordered.
In addition to his role on the AMC drama, Moses has appeared on the likes of Desperate Housewives, Homeland, and Deputy, while Ploszek’s television credits include Liberty Crossing, Superstore, and Tommy.
