ABC has released the trailer for Nathan Fillion cop drama The Rookie and in it, we see that second chances can never come too late.
From Alexi Hawley (Castle), The Rookie follows small town guy John Nolan (Fillion), who uses a traumatic incident as a springboard toward finally pursuing his dreams of being an LAPD officer. However, he’s met with skepticism as the force’s oldest rookie, with his colleagues worrying that he only joined as part of a midlife crisis and that when things really get tough, he’ll be dead weight. To prove himself to his fellow officers, John must use what he’s got to his advantage – life experience and sense of humor.
In addition to Fillion, The Rookie stars Afton Williamson (The Breaks), Alyssa Diaz (Zoo), Eric Winter (Witches of East End), Melissa O’Neil (Dark Matter), Mercedes Mason (Fear the Walking Dead), Richard T. Jones (Wisdom of the Crowd), and Titus Makin (The Path).
