Deadline is reporting that ABC drama pilot Until the Wedding has added six supporting players to its cast. Included in the mass casting are Trent Garrett (Andi Mack), Michael Stahl-David (The Deuce), Vered Blonstein (The Good Doctor), Liza Colon-Zayas (Titans), Juani Feliz (Shades of Blue), and Michael Benjamin Washington (30 Rock).
Based on the Israeli series of the same name, with Becky Mode (Smash) developing for American television, Until the Wedding follows Adrienne (Olivia Thirlby) and Danny (E.J. Bonilla) as their decision to get married has reverberations throughout their friend group and each of their families. If ordered, the series would explore each character coming to terms with the realities of love and marriage.
Garrett will play Nick; Stahl-David is set as Adrienne’s ex Will, a talented surgeon; Blonstein portrays Laura, Danny’s sister; Colon-Zayas plays Nancy, the mother of Danny and Laura; Feliz will play Isabel; and Washington is set as Miles’ husband Sam.
Until the Wedding is part of a drama pilot slate for ABC that includes romance The Baker and the Beauty; family drama Heart of Life; stalker thriller The Hypnotist’s Love Story; new takes on NYPD Blue and New York Undercover; P.I. drama Stumptown; Bermuda Triangle-set Triangle; and an untitled legal drama executive produced by 50 Cent.
