Even though it’s a little later than we thought we would be, here we are today with our analysis of the FOX 2015-2016 schedule.

foxIn today’s column, we (Craig Byrne and Shilo Adams) revisit our predictions compared to the actual schedule that came out a few weeks back, and of course, we offer our thoughts. Let’s get started, shall we?

SUNDAY

CRAIG: 7:00 NFL on FOX; 7:30 Bob’s Burgers; 8:00 The Simpsons; 8:30 Brooklyn Nine-Nine; 9:00 Family Guy; 9:30 The Last Man on Earth
SHILO: 7:00 NFL on FOX; 7:30 Bob’s Burgers; 8:00 The Simpsons; 8:30 Brooklyn Nine-Nine; 9:00 Family Guy; 9:30 Bordertown
ACTUAL SCHEDULE: 7:00 NFL on FOX; 7:30 Bob’s Burgers; 8:00 The Simpsons; 8:30 Brooklyn Nine-Nine; 9:00 Family Guy; 9:30 The Last Man on Earth

SHILO: Even though it cost me a point, I’m actually glad that FOX stuck with The Last Man on Earth here. This will give the show, which demonstrated some ratings promise this past season, the NFL halo to work with and more consistent scheduling earlier in the night. The Last Man on Earth isn’t going to be a show that can sustain itself for 22-episodes a season, but it’s the type of show that can further eventize the fall for FOX, which will help give the network the type of jumpstart it needs after a horrible 2014-2015. What this scheduling move also shows me is that FOX absolutely despises Bordertown and that it might not be a lock for the post-Family Guy slot once Last Man signs off for the season.

CRAIG: I don’t know that they hate Bordertown; I saw the official FOX social media on Twitter was promoting it just the other day. I, too, am glad they stuck with Last Man on Earth for the Fall because it may as well continue to ride any momentum and buzz instead of being gone for several months. Otherwise, business as usual, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Next: Monday!
