Deadline is reporting that Bravo has opted to cancel dark comedy Imposters after two seasons.
The decision comes after the series, which grew throughout its well-received first season, suffered significant ratings drops during its current season. Currently, Imposters is down 49% from last season after taking a year hiatus and missing out on both Olympic promotion and a premiere in the higher viewed winter months. With its cancellation, Bravo only has the upcoming six-episode final season of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce and upcoming true crime anthology Dirty John in its scripted slate.
From Paul Adelstein (Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce) and Adam Brooks (Definitely, Maybe), Imposters followed con woman Maddie (Inbar Lavi) as three of her former marks band together to bring her to justice. Once on the road, though, the so-called Bumblers realize that their feelings toward Maddie are more complicated than they realized, as is the grifting world that they’re forced to navigate in order to stay alive.
In addition to Lavi, Imposters starred Rob Heaps (Home Fires), Parker Young (Suburgatory), Marianne Rendon (Gemini), Katherine LaNasa (Satisfaction), Stephen Bishop (Being Mary Jane), and Brian Benben (Private Practice).
The series finale of Imposters is set to air next Thursday at 10:00 on Bravo.
