Wonder Woman TV Bridget Regan by KaliWeirWhile we wait for more information about the Wonder Woman TV project for Warner Bros. that will be shepherded by David E. Kelley, we thought we’d jump on the bandwagon and ask readers who you’d like to see playing Diana Prince in a new Wonder Woman series.

Clearly, casting probably won’t be happening for a while as it sounds like development is still in the early stages, but that shouldn’t prevent us from having some fun here.

Leave your comments below, talk about it on the Wonder Woman TV thread at KryptonSite, or, PLEASE spread the word and VOTE at our dedicated Wonder Woman site, WonderWomanTV.

I always thought Jaimie Alexander would make a good choice for a wonder woman but I’m sure there are several possibilities and she may be too expensive now that she’s filmed a movie role playing sif in thor thats due out next year.

    2. Welling4Superman on Oct 4, 2010 5:14 pm

I’m with you on this one Ksite! Bridget Regan looks fantastic as Diana!

    3. Corfy on Oct 4, 2010 5:26 pm

I guess the big question is… how old will she be? A Smallville-type treatment of a teenage Princess Diana growing up on Themyscira would require a different actress than a Wonder Woman who is travelling to “man’s world” and establishing herself as a hero. Personally, I think it might be fun to see her “growing up” (not counting a flashback or pilot episode establishing scene like we saw briefly at the beginning of the Aquaman pilot), although that treatment runs the risk of being somewhat Xena-ish.

    4. Sherrie on Oct 4, 2010 5:35 pm

I’d put a vote in for Jaime Alexander.

    5. Allie on Oct 4, 2010 5:36 pm

I think someone unknown, or relatively unknown, should play the role. But no matter who plays her, I just want her to be 6ft or over. As a 6’4″ girl myself, I understand that there are so few roles written specifically for tall women, and Diana is a true amazon. No offense to the shorter actresses out there, but it’d be a shame to see the one role tailor made for the tall women of the world to be wasted on someone who doesn’t even hit Diana’s supposed height of 6ft without some major heels or standing on apple boxes.

    6. Allie on Oct 4, 2010 5:39 pm

Heck, just for the sake of this being an open question, I fit the description, tall, athletic, dark hair, blue eyes, I’m putting my name in! Lol, Allie for WW!

    7. Roland on Oct 4, 2010 5:53 pm

I was all for Bridget Regan but then got to thinking of Miracle Laurie from Dollhouse! She was amazing and has all qualities of a Wonder Woman

    8. wingster55 on Oct 4, 2010 7:12 pm

      Evangeline Lilly as I’ve said.
Dushku could be good as well.

    9. Superman Lives On on Oct 4, 2010 7:28 pm

Well, on the one hand, if they want to show a fully mature Diana who’s going out into the world to represent her people and make her mark, I’d go with Jodi Lyn O’Keefe. On the other hand, if they want to take the “Smallville” route and show a young Diana growing up and discovering herself, I’d go with Hilary Rhoda. But that’s just me.

    10. eggie on Oct 4, 2010 7:32 pm

i thought Erica Durance looked like a great Wonder Woman in that episode last year at the comic convention in the Talon!!!!

    11. SandiMist on Oct 4, 2010 7:59 pm

The ONLY one for this role is Bridget Regan, she is tall and athletic, as Wonder Woman would be (Bridget is 5’9″), she has mad fighting skills and stunt work from her seasons on ‘Legend of the Seeker’ and she is an outstanding actress and would bring so much to the role, she has that special something that just makes you Love her!! She’s going to be a Mega Star, David E. Kelly would be smart to grab her! Go to youtube and type in Bridget Regan, or Kahlan Amnell and you will see the proof!

    12. karen on Oct 4, 2010 10:24 pm

for ERICA DURANCE will be the perfect choice as she also joked this at the comic con…

    13. k on Oct 4, 2010 11:05 pm

It all depends on how they deal with the story is she gonna be a teen or a young woman? Bridget Regan would be my first choice but if not her then someone who can play the role not only as a kickass woman with powers but a confidant independant woman that Wonder Woman is.

    14. jordan on Oct 4, 2010 11:51 pm

I think Emily Browning would be an interesting pick for a contemporary young Wonder Woman… although she seems to be going the movie route.

    15. Dave on Oct 5, 2010 6:13 am

I’ll be the different one here. I like all of the suggestions so far. I think that Michelle Ryan would make an excellent Wonder Woman. I was sad that we didn’t get to see her do more on Bionic Woman. The show wasn’t that great, but she was great in the part.

    16. Kderreberry on Oct 5, 2010 6:33 am

I’ve always thought Tiffany Theissen most resembles Linda Carter and would make a great-looking Wonder Woman. She has the dark hair and bright baby blues. In the latest Superman movie the actor’s blue contacts looked ridiculously FAKE! The actress that ultimately plays the part should already have the natural wonder woman features.

    17. Amara Jones on Oct 5, 2010 8:06 am

Erica Durance is so NOT right for Wonderv Woman. I would rahter her just stick to ruining Lois. Jessica Stroup would be perfect for WOnder Woman.

    18. Julia on Oct 5, 2010 10:41 am

You all realize you are rooting for actors who may not even want the part, right? Anyway, my vote is on Jaimie Alexander!

    19. CWDavis8 on Oct 5, 2010 10:42 am

Bridget Regan from Legend of the Seeker should be Wonder Woman. And Linda Carter needs to Play the role of her Mother.

    20. Julie on Oct 5, 2010 10:43 am

      I VOTE for Lucy Lawless!!!!

    21. Jeff on Oct 5, 2010 10:43 am

Seeing as how The Event is bleeding viewers, Taylor Cole might soon be free. She fits the bill looks wise, and she can play a badass.

    22. Chel on Oct 5, 2010 10:44 am

clearly erica durance. i want her back on my screen every week next year. and besides she herself said at comic con this year that maybe she’d be wonder woman ;) but if that fails, evangeline lilly, maybe sophia bush.

    23. Chel on Oct 5, 2010 10:44 am

NOT bridget. no no no. though seeing a comment above i do agree that if she’s the right age, tiffany theissen would be awesome!

    24. Corfy on Oct 5, 2010 10:48 am

You know, I could have sworn I saw an article one time when Joss Whedon was writing the WW movie that he was writing it with the idea of Morgan Freeman as Wonder Woman (I don’t know if he really meant Freeman, if he intended to say Fairchild but said Freeman instead, or if the writer misquoted him, but in any case, that has always stuck with me). So that is my suggestion as well, Morgan Freeman as Wonder Woman! ;-)

    25. BMac on Oct 5, 2010 1:52 pm

I will probably be shot for even suggesting this, but if they deal with a young Wonder Woman just going into the world to establish herself, and use the more angry, and more forceful attitude shown in some of the more recent cartoons, I would be in favor of Eliza Dushku. She can pull off a bad @$$ attitude.

    26. happyhangover on Oct 5, 2010 8:01 pm

I would say Alexandra Daddario . She fits the look plus she is still relatively unknown . She has had small parts in white collar and percy jackson and the lightning thief movie but nothing huge. I think she would be perfect and i hope they give her a little buffy style and attitude

I’d say ERIN CUMMINGS …. but shes perfect for a big screen WONDER WOMAN, saying that, she’d own it on TV too! (SPRTACUS)

Other than that perfect is SUSAN WARD! Not SEEKER gal plz lol!

    29. LEEE777 on Oct 6, 2010 2:10 am

Oh forgot JODI LYN O’KEEFE owns as WONDER WOMAN too!

    30. Lar Gand's Girl on Oct 7, 2010 12:20 pm

      How about Alexa Davalos?

    31. Lar Gand's Girl on Oct 7, 2010 12:26 pm

      Eliza Dushku is too waif-fu

    32. Lar Gand's Girl on Oct 7, 2010 12:35 pm

Oh, I just thought of an odd idea! Christy Carlson Romano (as in the voice of Kim Possible and from Even Stevens) Seriously, she’s threatening when she plays angry.

    33. Rick on Oct 11, 2010 2:47 am

Don’t forget about “MEGAN GALE” an Australian model who was already Cast as Wonder Woman in the 2008 -2009 JLA Project – She was cast and had a contract securing her role in the JLA movie – but the film was shelved.

so Why not put her Back in the pile of Actresses who being considered for the TV Wonder Woman

-She was already cast in the role, and she never got a chance to play her- check her out

      (Check this out) – Interview

she fits the physicality of wonder woman (maybe a little more muscle) – she Tall, she’s Beautiful. Give Her a Shot.

    34. Rick on Oct 11, 2010 2:49 am

Check this Interview of Megan Gale :

    35. shinron on Oct 22, 2010 7:11 am

For TV show Bridget Regan is probably one of the best candidate. She is tall, healthy, black hair, sexy and most important got experience in action (Legend of the Seeker.) You can’t afford Megan Fox in a TV show for example.

    36. Ricardo on Oct 22, 2010 8:00 pm

Jaime Alexander. She’s beautiful, tall and looks like she could pull off a big screen SERIOUS version of Wonder Woman. But she’d have to gain about 20lbs of muscle..

Jodi Lyn O’Keefe would be my choice for a tv series version. She looks pretty athletic already and at 5’10”, would be a pretty impressive sight! Stunning yet a more approachable version than Jaime’s version might be. I think Jodi’s version would be grittier.

Michelle Ryan for a “Smallville” version of Wonder Woman. Extremely cute as well as a serious-looking side to her that would work well on a younger version of Wonder Woman…

    37. Francesca on Oct 27, 2010 5:29 pm

Traci Dinwiddie all the way. http://www.tracidinwiddie.com/

    38. jeff on Oct 30, 2010 2:45 pm

no matter who they get to play wonder woman, Lynda Carter needs to be brought back as her mother.. She’s still very beautiful and is in excellent shape.. She would make a great queen of the Amazons who sends her daughter out into the world

      BRIDGET REGAN

    40. jackie on Nov 7, 2010 12:57 am

    41. angel003 on Dec 20, 2010 11:15 pm

Of all the celebrities and models, Megan Gale fits Wonder Woman, in my opinion. She’d be perfect in the Big Screen.

    42. Maven on Jul 17, 2012 10:00 am

CHARLIZE THERON OF COURSE!!!! SHE WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE WONDER WOMAN
