KSiteTV recently was able to speak with fan favorite actor Misha Collins, best known for his role as the angel Castiel in Supernatural and starring in Gotham Knights premiering March 14 on The CW.
Starring alongside Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Dean and Sam, Misha’s character of Castiel was one of the most prominent characters on the show, starting in Season 4 and lasting all the way to two episodes before the end.
The March 7 season finale of The Winchesters which aired last night on The CW brought back some Supernatural favorites: In addition to Ackles as Dean, we saw Alexander Calvert (Jack) and Jim Beaver (Bobby). But what about Cas? Was Misha approached to appear?
“I was, yes, but I was filming Gotham Knights at the time, and the timing just didn’t quite work out,” Misha Collins told us in our interview which will be posted in full soon on the KSiteTV YouTube channel and here on the website. “Jensen and I had conversations about it, and if there’s a Season 2 or beyond for Winchesters, we could certainly figure out how to make that happen.” Collins went on to say many positive things about his experience playing Castiel — he describes him as “an old friend” — and fans will really enjoy seeing him as Harvey Dent when Gotham Knights premieres next week.

boom. the fact cas wasn’t a throwaway line or a quick cameo thatll ignore the confession is great thing. i love cas but his relationship with dean needs to be handled lightly after everything
I really wish he would stay off the show. But Danneel is a big fan, so I guess it will be, I’ll still watch, but Cass wore out his welcome a long time ago for me. Sigh
Yay! I would love to see Castiel again. He’s my old TV friend too!
