Are you looking for something to watch this week? Here is my list of must-watch shows!
1. Being Human 2.08 “I’ve Got You Under Your Skin” (SyFy)
Air Time: Monday, March 5th, 2012 @ 9PM ET
Synopsis: Sally receives an ultimatum from the Reaper; Aidan and Suren devise a plan to eliminate Bishop’s orphaned vampires; Josh copes with his breakup.
Thoughts: Sally’s journey has been rather interesting this season. Now that she knows her stalker is the Reaper, what will she do to avoid her stay in the other, less popular, side? On the other front, Josh and Aidan both have some serious issues to deal with as well. Just another normal episode for these perfectly normal roommates. I will definitely not be missing the follow-up to last week’s phenomenal episode.
2. Breaking In 2.01 “The Contra Club” (FOX)
Air Time: Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 @ 10PM ET
Synopsis: Cameron, Cash and Melanie discover that Oz is forced to sell the company to a corporate conglomerate headed by the brash and bold Veronica Mann, who along with her prickly British assistant Molly, turn the office upside-down.
Thoughts: I do not know how many of you watched this gem of a comedy last season, but I do know that you should do so on Tuesday. This show had Michael Rosenbaum as a recurring guest star last season, which is why I started watching it. It quickly became one of my favorite comedies in recent memory with great characters and compellingly fun stories each week. Check it out and see if you agree with me!
3. Awake 1.02 “The Little Guy” (NBC)
Air Time: Thursday, March 8th, 2012 @ 10PM ET
Synopsis: Detective Michael Britten continues to deal with his parallel versions of reality. In one world he’s looking for ways to reconnect with his son, Rex, by offering him some normalcy while they deal with his mother’s death. In the other, Britten works to understand the emotions that his grieving wife, Hannah, is going through. Meanwhile, a witness in the murder of a homeless man tells Britten and his rookie partner, Vega that a “small guy” was spotted at the scene of the crime. When that clue crosses over into the case Britten is working on in his other reality, Bird, is confused by his partner’s sudden interest in the height of the suspects they are investigating. Britten’s captain shows growing concern over his behavior. Later, the events surrounding the fateful accident that changed Britten’s life come into question and throughout Dr. Lee and Dr. Evans continue to present their dueling theories on Britton’s condition.
Thoughts: I loved the premiere! I cannot imagine being Michael. The story is so fresh and intriguing. I’m really looking forward to following his story and the answers he may find each week.
4. Spartacus: Vengeance 2.07 “Sacramentum” (Starz)
Air Time: Friday, March 9th, 2012 @ 10PM ET
Synopsis: Spartacus and the rebels look to increase the size of their force by freeing and recruiting fighters held as slaves during foreign wars; Lucretia recruits one of her husband’s ex-gladiators in an attempt to outmaneuver influential Romans.
Thoughts: After watching Glaber excitedly continue his dark descent into villainy, I am truly ready to watch his next several moves. Spartacus and company are sure to have some serious trouble coming their way. Spartacus really needs to swell his forces and I’m glad that he will do so in this episode. Also, Gannicus will apparently be working with Lucretia according to the episode preview, so I cannot imagine where this storyline may go.
5. The Walking Dead 2.12 “Better Angels” (AMC)
Air Time: Sunday, March 11th, 2012 @ 9PM ET
Synopsis: Someone (or something) wicked is prowling around the farm, so Rick, Shane, Daryl and Glenn set up a patrol in the area as night falls.
Thoughts: Wow! What a crazy episode last night had for us! Is it Sunday yet? I cannot wait to get me some more post-apocalyptic drama at the farm! I wonder what is doing the prowling…
