    What’s On? 5 Shows To Watch This Week – February 20-26, 2012

In this installment of his “What’s On?” column, Jeff Holbrook outlines his TV picks for the week starting February 20.

    1. Alcatraz 1.07 “Johnny McKee” (FOX)

    Air Time: Monday, February 20th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

See some images from this episode! – Alcatraz at KSiteTV – Alcatraz Forum

Synopsis: Madsen and Hauser hunt down Johnny McKee, a former Alcatraz inmate and vicious killer with a background in chemistry. It’s a race against time before McKee horrifically poisons more innocent victims. Meanwhile, more details emerge about Madsen’s grandfather.

Thoughts: The writers keep them coming! This week’s disturbed criminal looks to bust out his chemistry set and break bad. It sounds like this one can do some serious damage to the Bay Area citizens. Also, what else will we learn about Madsen’s complex grandpa?

    2. Being Human 2.06 “Mama Said There’d Be Decades Like These” (SyFy)

    Air Time: Monday, February 20th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: Aidan is haunted by memories of Bishop when his protégé strolls back into Boston while Sally must confront the secrets revealed by her mother’s death.

Thoughts: Any show where I get to watch Mark Pellegrino vilify on TV will make this list. With Aidan continuing to balance between what is right and what is easy, it will be interesting to see where Bishop’s “haunting” may push him. Sally just isn’t having any luck since her door went M.I.A. Now she has to deal with her mother’s death as well. Tonight’s episode is a must-see.

    3. Grimm 1.12 “Last Grimm Standing” (NBC)

    Air Time: Friday, February 24th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: A murder leads Nick Burkhardt and Hank Griffin to an underground fight club. Nick and Monroe are somehow taken to the fight club and are forced to fight with other Wesen.

Thoughts: A supernatural fight club? I’m there.

    4. Spartacus: Vengeance 2.05 “Libertus” (Starz)

    Air Time: Friday, February 24th, 2012 @ 10PM ET

Synopsis: Spartacus undertakes a mission to rescue Crixus from the Romans, but a famous gladiator from the House of Batiatus interferes with the plan; Ilithyia’s scheming begins to affect her marriage to Glaber.

Thoughts: As if the episode description didn’t seem exciting enough, this week’s bloodbath marks the return of Gannicus! Now that Oenomaus knows of the secret kept between his old friend and departed wife, I cannot wait for their inevitable reunion. Plus, what other mind games does Lucretia have in store for Crixus?

    5. The Walking Dead 2.10 “18 Miles Out ” (AMC)

    Air Time: Sunday, February 26th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: Rick and Shane come into conflict over the fate of an outsider. Andrea helps Hershel’s youngest daughter face a crucial decision.

Thoughts: “Triggerfinger” was such an awesome episode! I personally cannot wait to feel the tension promised between Rick and Shane this coming week. Counting down the days…
