The CW’s Walker Texas Ranger reboot Walker will have a familiar face playing the wife of Jared Padalecki‘s Cordell Walker — his own wife, Genevieve Padalecki, who has appeared with him many times on Supernatural.
Deadline revealed yesterday that Genevieve will be playing Emily, described as “Walker’s strong, capable and generous late wife who is brave and focused on helping the disenfranchised. Appearing in flashback, Emily is a grounded and authentic hero in the Walker family.” And, since she’s the late wife, this role will be a recurring one. Fortunately, both Jared and his wife live in Austin, where the new show will be filming.
Walker is scheduled to premiere in January 2021 on The CW.
