Starz has released official key art and the first full length trailer for upcoming limited series The White Princess, sequel to Emmy-nominated 2013 miniseries The White Queen.

Based on the Philippa Gregory novel of the same name, itself a part of The Cousins’ War book series that chronicles English history through the lens of its women, The White Princess begins three days following the events of The White Queen, as England’s famed War of the Roses is coming to an end and Princess Elizabeth of York is set to assume the throne vacated by her mother. An uneasy peace is achieved once former King Richard III is defeated at the Battle of Bosworth by Henry Tudor, the man who just so happens to be married to Richard’s former lover Princess Elizabeth.
Once again helmed by Emma Frost (The Man in the High Castle), The White Princess stars Jodie Comer (Thirteen), Jacob Collins-Levy (Holding the Man), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones), and Essie Davis (The Babadook).
The White Princess will premiere Sunday, April 16th on Starz.
