CBS All Access has set a Monday, April 1st premiere date for Jordan Peele’s upcoming reinterpretation of The Twilight Zone. Following the release of the first two episodes, the episodic anthology will then transition to a weekly release beginning Thursday, April 11th.
Not much is known about Oscar winner Peele’s revival of the classic television series. The project currently has a guest list that includes Ike Barinholtz, John Cho, Lucinda Dryzek, Taissa Farmiga, Greg Kinnear, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jefferson White, Jonathan Whitesell, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise, and Steven Yeun.
Created by Rod Serling, The Twilight Zone was a groundbreaking piece of science fiction known for its narration, episodic storytelling, and twist endings that tie into each installment’s theme. The original incarnation of the series ran for five seasons on CBS before being revived three times – once by CBS in the 1980s; once by UPN in 2002; and once by CBS All Access.
The Twilight Zone joins a scripted slate for CBS All Access that includes Strange Angel, The Good Fight, Tell Me a Story, and Star Trek: Discovery.
