AMC has released the first photos and sneak peek for upcoming thriller The Terror, which is set to debut Monday, March 26th at 9:00 with a two-hour premiere.
“The Terror captures a rare combination of fascinating history, complex and flawed characters, the inextinguishable human spirit and the horror and promise of an uncharted world,” said executive producers and co-showrunners David Kajganich and Soo Hugh. “We are looking forward to bringing viewers into this world in March.”
Based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Dan Simmons, The Terror chronicles the Royal Navy’s dangerous attempt to discover the Northwest Passage, a journey rife with treacherous conditions, limited resources, and dwindling hope. The series follows as the crew of men are faced with how to survive the unsurvivable and how once solid camaraderie can rot under extreme circumstances.
Joining a scripted slate that includes Humans, The Walking Dead, and Into the Badlands, The Terror stars Jared Harris (Mad Men), Tobias Menzies (Outlander), Ciaran Hinds (Game of Thrones), Paul Ready (Cuffs), Nive Nielsen (The New World), Ian Hart (Neverland), and Trystan Gravelle (Mr. Selfridge).
