Frankie Muniz of Malcolm in the Middle fame guest stars in the February 28 episode of The Rookie which is called “True Crime.” Here’s how the episode is described:
The team gets the true crime docuseries treatment when they analyze a recent case featuring a former child actor whose adult life has garnered him a cult following on ABC’s “The Rookie.” (TV-14, LV)
For some reason Frankie Muniz isn’t any of the official promotional stills, but if you want to see a gallery of photos from the episode, you can still find one below.

Love the Rookie. Please don’t air anymore episodes as stupid and boring as tonights
True Crime.
Feb 28 episode was lousy. Have enjoyed this series until tonight. Hope this was a one and only event.
True Crime episode of The Rookie was so boring that I turned it off 1/2 way through. I have enjoyed every episode of The Rookie since it first aired. This last one was absolutely horrible. Hoping future shows will be like the normal ones.
It was the worst episode of the show EVER! If I had seen this episode early on in the series, it would’ve been enough to make me stop watching it. Thankfully I know that the show is wonderful and that this terrible episode was just a fluke!
This is the worst episode …boring and not the usual by this show. I live the Rookie but this episode was just awful..
Worst episode ever. Took 2 days to get through it.
