The CW has released promotional photos for the May 16 episode of The Originals which is called “Don’t It Just Break Your Heart.”
It looks like a lot of the younger cast takes center stage in this one, including Danielle Rose Russell as Hope and Jedidiah Goodacre as Roman. There are also photos including Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

FLASHBACKS TO 1930’s GERMANY — A mysterious clue sent to Klaus (Joseph Morgan) leads him one step closer to finding Hayley. Antoinette (guest star Jaime Murray) opens up to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) after her past comes back to haunt her. Meanwhile, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) makes a decision that puts him at odds with Klaus. Finally, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) takes matters into her own hands to fix the mess that she’s created. Riley Voelkel and Steven Krueger also star. Jeffrey W. Byrd directed the episode with teleplay by Jeffrey Lieber and story by Bianca Sams & Jeffrey Lieber (#505). Original airdate 5/16/2018.
THE ORIGINALS
The final season of THE ORIGINALS begins seven years after the core members of the Mikaelson family – Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) — each absorb a quarter of the Hollow’s dark energy and flee New Orleans in order to keep both their beloved city and young Hope safe. In the interim, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Josh (Steven Krueger) preside over a Big Easy almost devoid of conflict, while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) watch Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) grow into a teenager, eventually opting to send her to the Salvatore School so that Caroline (guest star Candice King) can keep an eye on her. With Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) following Rebekah out of town and Elijah stripped of his memory, the danger seems to be contained… until a sudden tragedy forces the siblings to return home. As the Mickaelsons return to New Orleans, bringing the pieces of a centuries old evil with them, it becomes clear that the closing chapter of this family saga will be as bloody and emotional as ever.

Julie call herself feminist but she have killed off 2/3 lead females roles so far. In season 5 she killed off Hayley. Despite the fact that Hayley is the lead female character and she has a 15 year old daughter who needs her mother. Hayley doesn’t deserve to die in the last season of The Originals. The females in this show are only used for the purposes of ships and are killed off as soon as they get their own storyline. The Originals season 4 should have been the last. Julie Plec will ruin everything in s5. I won’t watch TO s 5 and anything else Julie Plec has her hands on.
Hayley is an amazing character and a great mother. Hayley can’t die. She doesn’t deserve this. Hayley deserves the best ending with Hope. Julie Plec really shouldn’t ruin the The Originals on it’s last season. If Julie Plec kill off Hayley I will boycott The Originals and I won’t watch anything else Julie Plec has her hands on.
Very disappointed that Julie Plec killed off Hayley. Hayley is my only favorite character, she is one of the main characters of The Originals and it’s super unprofessional to kill one of the amazing characters on The Originals .Hayley is Hope’s mom, are they just gonna rip her mom away from her ? Hayley has tried so hard to keep her daughter happy and safe and this is what she gets in return? Hayley deserves so much more happiness and she doesn’t deserve to die. The Originals is my favorite show but without Hayley I’m done with it.
Julie Plec seems to have a problem with moms, she constantly kills them in her show. She killed off Katie in Containment, Jo in TVD, and now she want to do the same in TO. It’s really disgusting. It looks like that Julie Plec think the only mother who deserve to live is Caroline. It is disgusting that Julie think it is ok to kill off a mother, to make a place for Caroline.
Hayley is the best character in the originals and she has a such beautiful, singular and genuine heart and spent all those years helping to build every little piece of the show with her narrative, she’s so important! So it would be very unfair to be ruthlessly pulled of the show and she’s has gone through many horrors, pain, cruelties, atrocities, and always in search of love, happiness and family for years and years and deserves with all strength a happy ending with Hope, a worthy outcome.
The Originals has a very bad habit of killing off it’s female characters. Male series regular has never suffered the same fate. Hayley is such a strong female character: she doesn’t need anyone but herself – all she wants is to protect her daughter, by taking her away from The Originals Julie Plec ruin The Originals
If they kill off Hayley it will be the worst decision they ever made, I can not believe that they are so stupid. Hayley is a great character and she is vital to the show.
Hayley is a well developed, strong and beautiful character. She’s also a mother and has already lost so much so doesn’t deserve to lose her life too. They talk a big game about feminism yet they kill one of the strongest females in their show. Hayley should be alive and have a happy life with her daughter.

Hayley is a big part of the originals. She has grown into a much better person because of Hope. Hayley didn’t get the chance to fully know her mother so Hope should be able to get that chance. Hope will only be 15 that is very young to lose her mother. Hayley fought for years for the safety of her child even before Hope was born. She deserves every right and happiness with the child she gave life to.
The Originals S4 was the best season,and now Julie will ruin the show. Julie Plec made a TVD final atrocious, and now by killing off Hayley TO final will be the worst final CW ever had
Hope is evil to do that to her mother. She really is ungrateful and spoiled rotten. Her mom never did anything but love and protect her which is beyond crazy to do that.
