Syfy has announced that the third season of praised drama The Magicians will premiere Wednesday, January 10th at 9:00. The scheduling should work out similarly to last year, where early episodes of The Magicians led into the Wednesday hangover from the previous year (in this case, Happy!; in that case, Incorporated) before another show joined it shortly. Presumably, The Magicians will continue to air alongside The Expanse, but a premiere date for the space show has yet to be revealed.
The Magicians season three will feature multiple additions, including Jaime Ray Newman (Drop Dead Diva) as Irene McAllister, a member of the Brakebills Board of Trustees who comes from a family of powerful magicians, and Supernatural‘s Felicia Day as Brakebills post-grad (and working Dragonologist) Poppy.
