AMC has set a November premiere date for upcoming miniseries The Little Drummer Girl.
Based on the John le Carre novel of the same name, which has previously been adapted into a 1984 film, The Little Drummer Girl tells the story of fiery actress Charlie (Florence Pugh) who meets the mysterious Becker (Alexander Skarsgard) on vacation in Greece. It becomes apparent that his intentions with her go far beyond some fun in the sun and soon enough, Charlie is involved in complex plot devised by the spy mastermind Kurtz (Michael Shannon).
The Little Drummer Girl will be the second le Carre miniseries AMC has fielded, following 2016’s The Night Manager. That series, which starred the likes of Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman, received rave reviews and won two Emmys, three BAFTAs, and three Golden Globes, among many accolades.
It joins a scripted slate for AMC that includes Lodge 49, Better Call Saul, Fear the Walking Dead, McMafia, The Son, Preacher, Dietland, Humans, The Walking Dead, and Into the Badlands.
