ABC has officially cancelled well-received family comedy The Kids Are Alright, it was confirmed today.
Though the series received positive reviews this fall, as well as a WGA nomination, it generated little non-linear ratings interest and has noticeably sagged in Live + Same Day. With the Disney merger coming through this season, it lost the advantage it had over fellow bubble comedies Single Parents and Speechless, as both of those 20th Century-produced comedies are now owned by ABC, as well.
