A promo aired during tonight’s Super Bowl game confirmed that one of the most critically acclaimed series on CBS is coming to an end. The show that’s ending is The Good Wife starring Julianna Margulies.
After seven seasons and hundreds of twists, the “biggest surprise” is expected to come in those final nine episodes.
It had been suspected that The Good Wife may be ending, as Margulies herself had joked about unemployment and creators Robert and Michelle King had announced their intentions to leave after Season 7. Now, of course, we know there will not be a King-less Good Wife Season 8.
The final nine episodes of The Good Wife are set to begin next Sunday, February 14, with an episode called “Monday.” The series finale will air on May 8. You can see the Super Bowl promo below.
