Now that the writer and actor strikes are over, the TV networks are assessing what they want to prioritize for what’s left of the 2024 TV season — and sadly for The Good Doctor spinoff The Good Lawyer, ABC has decided to pass on the project.
The Good Lawyer backdoor pilot aired as an episode of The Good Doctor earlier this year. The series would have starred Felicity Huffman as well as Nancy Drew fan favorite Kennedy McMann, and in the project, McMann’s lawyer character would have had obsessive compulsive disorder.
The Good Doctor, however, is expected to return for Season 7 in 2024, so at least fans of the franchise can look forward to more of Freddie Highmore’s Shaun character and the cast that surrounds him.
