In 1980-something, Fred Savage starred in the TV time period piece The Wonder Years, about the early teen years of Kevin Arnold. Now, over twenty years later, Savage is directing the October 8 episode of another great TV time period piece, The Goldbergs, which makes me wish for a Patton Oswalt vs. Daniel Stern voiceover-off, but I digress.
Anyhow, the Oct. 8 episode of The Goldbergs sees Beverly catching Princess Di fever, just like our interview with the real Adam Goldberg talked about. Here’s how ABC describes it:
With Prince Charles and Lady Di’s wedding approaching, Beverly gets the idea for her and Murray to renew their vows. But with Murray’s complete lack of interest, will Beverly lose her chance at a second wedding? Meanwhile, Barry hopes his and Adam’s garage band will get Erica’s best friend, Lainey, to notice him again, on “The Goldbergs,” WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
