The Summer Premiere for ABC Family’s Switched at Birth airs Monday, June 16, and they have released an official description for an idea of what it’s about.

Burbank, CA (May 15, 2014) – Bay struggles with her feelings about Emmett and Tank while Daphne risks her safety to protect Regina in the summer premiere of “Switched at Birth,” airing Monday, June 16 at 8:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family.

Bay faces the consequences of her unplanned romantic encounter with Emmett. Will she break up with Tank (guest star Max Adler, “Glee”)? Will Bay and Emmett start a new life together?

Meanwhile, Daphne sets out to find the person who vandalized her mom’s design studio. And Matthew continues to bully Emmett.

“Love Among the Ruins” was written by Lizzy Weiss and directed by Norman Buckley.

“Switched at Birth,” currently in its third season, is executive-produced by Lizzy Weiss (“Blue Crush”), Paul Stupin (“Make It or Break It”), and John Ziffren (“Melissa & Joey,” “Make It or Break It”). The series stars Katie Leclerc as Daphne Vasquez; Vanessa Marano (“Gilmore Girls”) as Bay Kennish; Constance Marie (“George Lopez”) as Regina Vasquez; D.W. Moffett (“Friday Night Lights”) as John Kennish; Lea Thompson (“Back to the Future,” “Caroline in the City”) as Kathryn Kennish; Lucas Grabeel (“High School Musical”) as Toby Kennish; Sean Berdy as Emmett Bledsoe; and Gilles Marini (“Brothers and Sisters”) as Angelo Sorrento with guest star Marlee Matlin (“The West Wing”).
