Genevieve Padalecki, then Genevieve Cortese, was cast on Supernatural way back in Season 4 as the second actress to play Ruby, and after that character’s story was done, she returned in Season 6 for the fan-favorite episode “The French Mistake.” In 2010, Genevieve married Jared Padalecki, and they have had two children together, Thomas Colton and Austin Shepherd.
Since Supernatural is a bit on the scary side — at what point might the Padaleckis allow their children to watch the show? At the red carpet for the Supernatural 200th episode party in Vancouver a few weeks back, we asked both Genevieve and Jared that same question. As a bonus, Genevieve talks about returning for “The French Mistake” and what it’s like to see the show hitting 200 episodes, especially with such an active fan base that seems to grow every year, and Jared talks about how Episode 200 is “a salute to the fans.”

The name of their children are Thomas and Shepherd not Austin!!!
Wikipedia says the child’s name is Austin Shepherd. No need to get all angry Natalie.
Get a grip, Natalie. His birthname is AUSTIN but they seem to call him by his middle name.
In any event, I included the middle name to clarify.
