Supernatural “The French Mistake” Official Description

Supernatural goes meta (again) in the Feb. 25 episode. Here’s the official description for the show, which is titled “The French Mistake.”

I liked it when Growing Pains did a similar episode, so maybe I’ll like this too. Let’s just hope they don’t take it too far.

SAM AND DEAN ARE TRANSPORTED TO AN ALTERNATE REALITY — Raphael (guest star Lanette Ware) launches an attack on Castiel (Misha Collins) and his allies, sending a particularly frightening angelic hitman (guest star Carlos Sanz) after Balthazar (guest star Sebastian Roche), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). In an effort to protect the brothers, Balthazar sends them to an alternate universe where they are the stars of a TV show called “Supernatural” and they are actors named “Jensen Ackles” and “Jared Padalecki.” The brothers are confused when Castiel appears to be a tweet-happy actor named Misha Collins and Sam is married to Ruby (Genevieve Cortese). Posted on KSiteTV. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Ben Edlund (#615).

“Let’s just hope they don’t take it too far.”

Uh, what? You say that as if that’s ever been a problem with a meta episode. They’re some of the best episodes of the show, always.

Sooo friggin excited for this ep! I know it’s going to make me LOL the whole time (until the scary/important/exciting part kicks in)!!

Supernatural has always been a little weird but this is just beyond weird. Can’t wait to watch it.

This was a terriable episode. They’ve redefined jumping the shark. This is beyond any metafiction they’ve ever touched before and it was completely unrelated to the current story lines (hence the extensive reminders of episodes past at the opening.) And I doubt they could have made the crew and producers sound more weary, the constant exasperated exclamations “ugh. Season six.” Are they trying to get canceled??
Dean: “Who would want to watch this?”
Sam: “according to the interview not many people do.”

      REALLY?

Reporter: “So you’ve escaped hell, stopped Lucifer, got your soul back– What’s next for Sam Winchester?”

Are the writers really that spent? They openly mock how formulaic the show is, and then still, even in this setting stick to that formula, you’d think someone was forcing them to and now out of objection they are TRYING to get canceled.

Message for last poster… They are taking the P*$# out of themselves..

Thought the episode was great LOL through half of it and spent the other half working out who was actually playing themselves..

I love that episode of the french mistake especially the part dean ask sam u married the fake ruby? hahahaha, dean was confirming in real-life that jared and genevieve are not married. Also I like the part when they said misha is a confused tweeter who thinks sam is married to ruby, jensen and jared confirmed right there that misha has a tweeter but is very confused about jared and genevieve being married lol because they are not. Jared act as if he doesn’t know genevieve cortese at all in real-life.The part when misha got killed on ther just set the whole thing off because biana and stephanie said on their facebook monts before this episode aired that castiel or bobby was going to die.So stephanie and bianca gave us a hint on that a long time ago. Thank you bianca and stephanie , the real wives of jensen ackles and jared padalecki. I enjoyed lanette ware acting as raphael on the french mistake too.
