Some news we never expected to type here at KSiteTV: Series stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins have confirmed that the upcoming 15th season of Supernatural will be the last.
“We just told the crew that though we’re very, very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last,” Jensen Ackles said in a video posted on social media this afternoon. “Fifteen years of a show that has certainly changed my life — I know it has changed these two guys’ life — we just wanted you to hear from us that though we’re excited for next year, it will be the finale. The great big finale of an institution.”
“We’ve cried some tears, and we’ll cry some more, but we’re grateful and we’ll work all the emotion into the new season,” Jared Padalecki added.
“We love you guys, and this family is not going anywhere even though the show will come to an end,” Misha Collins promised.
Ackles concluded with a reference to Supernatural’s creator.
“I will say this: A little word from Mr. Eric Kripke, the creator of this world and these characters, that in a show about family, it is amazing and it is the pride of his life that it became family, so thank you guys for that,” Jensen said.
“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera,” Executive Producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb said in a statement. “For us it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen, Jared and Misha for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the send off they deserve.”
Running for over 300 episode with the final episode being Episode 327, Supernatural is the lone survivor from The WB network which folded in 2005. The series has inspired conventions, charitable actions, and an extremely loyal fan base over the years. You can see the video that the series stars released below.

I’m sad to see it end, but I’m so glad that J2M were the ones to tell us. We couldn’t ask for three better, kinder leading men.
