With more shows than they have timeslots for, it is not surprising that The CW will be giving several series shorter orders this year. At the Executive Session of the Television Critics Association Press Tour, CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed that most of their midseason and summer shows will have only 13 episodes (aside from Reign, which is expected to have 16).
Pedowitz did confirm, though, that Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Supernatural were “22 episodes at this time.”
In the interest of accuracy, we are posting that part of the transcript below. Some Supernatural fans have heard there will actually be 23; we’re just the messengers right now.
QUESTION: Okay. And the other thing I was going to ask is “Supergirl,” though, is going to be 22, right?
MARK PEDOWITZ: “Supergirl” is 22 at this time.
QUESTION: What else is 22?
MARK PEDOWITZ: “Flash,” “Arrow,” “Supernatural.”
Stay tuned for more details from the TCA Press Tour in the coming hours and days.
