The third season of DC’s Stargirl premieres on The CW in a little more than a week, on Wednesday, August 31. “Frenemies” is the subtitle for Season 3 and KSiteTV was able to speak with the lead actress Brec Bassinger who is stellar as Courtney Whitmore a.k.a. Stargirl.
We’ll be running the full interview closer to the air date, but how about a tease for what we can expect for Season 3?
“There’s a murder, and of course, it puts a lot of pressure on Courtney, because she’s been a huge advocate for the villains turned good living in Blue Valley in harmony with the JSA, even though there’s been some backlash from her fellow JSA members,” Bassinger teased. “When this murder pops up in Blue Valley, of course, fingers get pointed. So she has to try to navigate who actually is good now, and who is not!”
We did not, however, have much luck when asking if Season 3 was going to have a definitive ending, or if the door is open for a potential fourth season.
“That’s a trick question!” Bassinger said, on to our scheme to find out if the show might go for more seasons, before giving a diplomatic answer.
“Our showrunner is so smart, and so lovely, that he protected us either way, which I think is so wonderful,” she said.
