IFC has released the first look at the upcoming second season of comedy Stan Against Evil and in it, we see that Evie returning back to the land of the living might not’ve been the best choice.
From Dana Gould (The Simpsons), Stan Against Evil tells the story of Evie Barret (Janet Varney), a single mother who becomes the newest sheriff in a tiny New England town. Thinking it should be a quiet, safe life for herself and her child, Evie is shocked to learn that every sheriff in town dies as a result of a centuries old curse. Every sheriff, that is, except for Stan (John C. McGinley), who she’s forced to team up with to fight back against the demons haunting the town.
In addition to Varney and McGinley, Stan Against Evil stars Nate Mooney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Deborah Baker Jr. (The Great Indoors). The series is part of a scripted slate for IFC that includes Portlandia, Documentary Now!, and Brockmire.
The second season of Stan Against Evil is set to air Wednesday, November 1st at 10:00 on IFC.
Will you be watching Stan Against Evil? How do you think Evie makes it back to Stan? What type of demons would you like to see the show introduce in season two?
