As part of Viacom’s social distancing-focused #AloneTogether initiative, Comedy Central has made the full first seasons of well-received series South Side and Awkwafina is Nora From Queens available to stream without a login.
From Diallo Riddle (Sherman’s Showcase) and brothers Bashir (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) and Sultan Salahuddin, South Side follows Simon (Sultan Salahuddin) and Kareem (Kareme Young), two best friends who just graduated community college in Chicago. Though they have big dreams for themselves, for the time being, they’re stuck working at local business Rent-T-Own.
In addition to Salahuddin and Young, the series stars Chandra Russell (Downtown Girls), Lil Rel Howery (Rel), and Quincy Young (Vitamin Z).
Awkwafina is Nora From Queens stars Golden Globe winner Awkwafina (The Farewell) as Nora Lin, a fictionalized version of herself. The series follows Queens resident Nora as she has difficulty navigating life and the pitfalls of young adulthood, all the while leaning on her grandmother and father for support.
In addition to Awkwafina, the series stars Lori Tan Chinn (Orange is the New Black), BD Wong (Mr. Robot), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live), and Chrissie Fit (General Hospital).
South Side and Awkwafina is Nora From Queens are part of a scripted slate for Comedy Central that features acclaimed showbiz-set series The Other Two, office satire Corporate, and South Park, which will be entering its 24th season later this year.
