Following quoted reports of Tom Welling stating that Season 10 would be the last in a report at HollywoodLife.com, KryptonSite has gotten confirmation from the studio that this is indeed true.
There will probably be more detailed reports about this at tomorrow’s CW Upfronts presentation.

Good! And I hope they go into the season with a plan, like, I hope it’s the end all of the way. Like, I don’t want them to treat it like a normal season and then go into overdrive with three episodes left. Make all episodes meaningful and no pointless fillers. Bring people back. Pete, Lana, Martha, Jonathan, Kara, Lionel, Lex. Reward the fans and make each episode the best that they can be.
I agree with Thomas, It’s time to reward the fans for sticking by the show for the past 10 years.
I like the idea few shows ever reach 10 years. This way they can make it epic and knowing they do not have to strech the lois clark love maybe they will not retcon here learing the secret. I would love for next season to deal with her coming to grips with it.
I just hope for that last episode don’t make the last 10 minutes of the episode of him as Superman, but the entire episode. A two-hour series finale. I’ll be happy.
Def has to be a 2 hour finale and a whole episode as Superman!
I understand actors want to move on but we (the fans) have watched and waited for 9 years for the blur to BE Superman! So if Smallville MUST end, then we (the fans) need at least one full season with SUPERMAN! Perhaps leading to a spinoff for The Justice League. The world needs more shows depicting people WANTING to help others not just getting the bad guys, y’know? Besides, superheros are like an American staple!
