After watching Beacon i hate to say it but there is nothing to be excited about. Glasses? So what! The idea of Clark wearing glasses isn’t just about changing his appearance, it’s also the whole mild mannered aspect of it. He becomes a more subtle character in people’s eyes, someone who isn’t noticed, someone who is clumsy, dorky, bumbling, hence losing all suspicion of possibly being Superman. But i have no doubt that the writer’s will let us down next week by only focusing on the one dimensional aspect of it. Although i must say, the writers do have the whole Clark being clueless part down. I am soo frustrated that this kid is still just reacting to situations, and only saving people he knows…Come on people! For today’s episode, once again Clark is the last one to find out Lionel and Lex are still alive and out there… He is Superman! His detective skills may leave something to be desired at this point but he has a SUPER brain, he should be able to figure this stuff out by now and not have all these side characters tell him truths he should have figured out first.
There was soo much disappointment tonight. And i’m soo scared to even look ahead. Next episode once again doesn’t seem to focus on Clark and more on the side characters who should be receiving less and less relevance as Clark approaches his destiny. Granted they did help shape him but he should be leaving these people in the dust and not soo and still reliant on them. The thing about Clark/Superman which makes him soo inspirational is his unwavering determination and will. If anyone ever watched the cartoons or read the comics, these characters have their own turf, a part of the world they call home and they guard in a personal way. Batman has Gotham and Superman has Metropolis. At this point Clark should not be receiving soo much help and protection otherwise the final payoff of his journey will not be soo rewarding to him and fans, i don’t understand why the writers do not understand this. Also in today’s episode i guess they seem to wrap up the VRA thing in a pretty neat bow… scratch that, it was a seriously ugly bow, especially with those youtube testimonials by people sitting in their rooms.. god i couldn’t watch at that point it was waaay too much cheese and why they prolonged it for soo long, i have no idea. I think this would have been an opportune moment for them to showcase Tom Welling’s acting abilities, if anything, while simply playing these testimonials and focusing on his face while he expressed his contentment. Also another note about these side-kick characters surrounding Clark, they all seem to want to help him and yet, time and time again they purposely go out there and put themselves in precarious situations to have/need Clark to drop everything and come save them. The problem with them constantly having him use his super speed everywhere, is that there is nothing special about it anymore, it has lost it’s novelty. The things that make Clark soo special are simply not making him soo special anymore due to overuse. Clark, despite the fact he is an alien, adheres to a greater code of humanity than humans themselves and yet a little riot in Metroplis seems to get him down the whole episode.. Something like this should not stop a hero! The idea of a hero is that they do not accept the world the way it is, they fight it. He should’ve still gone out there and saved people and set examples despite what haters were thinking, there will always be hero haters even though they seem to wrap up this useless VRA nonsense.
I am in no means a Smallville hater, in fact i am a huge supporter from the moment it aired. It had a quality which seemed to go beyond a regular TV show. Because the character of Clark was soo well written, at first, the things he did and the decisions he struggled with made the audience look inside themselves and look for the good. I don’t know about anyone else but, that happened to me. They managed to humanize a character who would one day become a god among men but not for the wrong reasons. Only to make a difference, set an inspirational example and make a connection himself.
Once again, it is season 10, final season! Should be getting real and badass, that’s all i can say.

It is painful to listen to the dialogue on this show. Mama Kent’s speech about truth, justice and heroes was like they threw a dictionary of cliches up in the air, and spoke them in whatever order they landed. TRUTH! yeaaaa. JUSTICE! yeaaaaaa. AND HEROES! HEROES ARE COOL! HEROES! I SAID HEROES!! yeaaaaa. >>>>barf<<<<
