TVLine was the first to post the latest Smallville finale promo, this time heralding the return of Michael Rosenbaum’s Lex Luthor on May 13.
You’ll notice several never-before-seen clips from the series finale. The piano music at the end is a very nice touch.

OMG I just got GOOSEBUMPS!!!! I Can’t WAIT to see how they bring him back. I thought maybe Earth 2 Lionel made a deal with Darkseid to bring him back, BUT this promo makes it seem as if they are going with the “Oliver’s truck bomb didn’t kill me”. I guess at this point I dn’t care how they bring him back, but if that bomb didn’t kill him, maybe they will take it back to the earlier seasons and reveal that Lex actually DOES have a Meteor power and he just can’t die!
Yay for Lex Luthor!!!!! And was it just me or did i hear Lex’s voice turn different when he said, “Im Lex Luthor” It actually sounded like Darkseid when he possesses a person like Godfrey. If they make Darkseid possess Lex in the whole finale I will really be pist! Lex is evil enough and awsome enough on his own without Darkseid’s help. Lex is back, Chloe, martha, Jonathon, and Lionel all return for this epic 2 hour episode! Thats what I call loyalty! That was a awsome and probably the best trailer ever!! Clark Kent vs. Lex Luthor and it looks like by what the trailer shows Lex was actually dead. I always thought he survived somehow by one of his clones being blown up instead or something but that trailer definitly convinces me that Lex Luthor is dead (currently at least) but im excited he is coming back from the ashes! Maybe because Darkseid unnaturally brings Lex back, somehow Jonathon comes back to and thats how he is in the finale. And boy the Luthors are definitly one of a kind! Right when we see them die they just keep popping back up lol. Julian Luthor died, and later came back as a clone that Lex made, Lillian Luthor died and later was a dead spirit trying to help Lex, Lionel Luthor was killed by Lex but his alternate earthly doppleganger arrived to this world and is more evil then ever, and now Lex Luthor was killed by Oliver Queen but is being brought back from the dead supposably by Darkseid. Not even the kents surpassed Death in this way lol. Luthors….. like Lex once said, “we Luthors are made of pretty tough and definitely expensive material.” Lol No kidding Lex =)
all i can see and say about this: It feells so good to Lex Luthor again on the show before its final episode of the series. i will just love to see how it all ends with Lex’s journey to become Clark Kent’s Number One Bad Guy in The DC Universe.

Apparently not. When ‘Lex’ returned for the episode where Oliver Queen killed him, a lot of fans complained about his ‘Darth Lex’ voice. Does that make any sense, Mister?
I am just so thrilled and over the moon that Lex is coming back! Can’t wait how he comes back but hope they don’t kill him off again just because it is the final!

Really good but if you pause it as Lex turns in his chair, you can see how different he looks considering he’s wearing a skull cap this time :( looks shit. Rest of trailer…awesome. I’m in UK and sod waiting til June even just to see Lazarus onwards!

I like how the name plate said Lex 0 (meaning the initial or first Lex to those who don’t recognize the symbol). I think that was a nice touch showing us that it is the real Lex. To Justin, he isn’t dead and never was. Remember in the first episode of the season when Clark was in between life and death, in a place that I shall call Limbo?? Lex was there too, remember?? That was to show that despite giving us an explosion that Ollie caused when he “killed Lex” was just an explosion and that the real Lex, as damaged as he may have been, is still somewhat alive out there somewhere. At least thats what I took from the first episode and this trailer. If anybody has a better explaination, I’m ready to give it a listen, but I think my logic is sound. Great trailer!!!

Maybe you should listen to the video again weezl u idiot. Compare it to requiem lex voice they are totally different. This voice sounded more like godfrey then vader. So maybe u should think before you talk. And yes i am a fan and apparently better then u.

Right now we dont really no what happend to lex. Yes he was in limbo but he also dissapeared from it the moment clark did. It also looked like Oliver did kill him in season 8 but its possible he somehow survived. I mean he did survive a ice fortress collapsing on him, so i think a explosion might be more of a piece of cake. The lex clone in lazarus also said he was dead, but Dr. Fate said he would be clark’s ultimate enemy. Listen their are a bunch of signs saying hes either dead or alive but we dont know yet which one hes been all this time. My guess: Lex was in that explosion and was recovered somehow before he could truly die leaving Lex and his mind in the abyss between life and death (in lazarus). And watching that trailer, I bet Darkseid will heal him some how. So with the fortress falling on him and a explosion of the car he was in, i still think lex is still alive.
Lex never died which means that this Lex is the one and original Lex Luthor. Darkseid will not possess him, although it may seem like that. Get ready because the finale will astonish you.
Man, good promo, but its a different take on how lex come back in my perspective. Hope lex doesn’t have powers, hope he doesn’t get possessed by darkseid, because that would not be right for the finale. And lets hope theirs some kind of battle between clark and darkseid, they better at least show darkseid, because they’ve been teasing him through out the season ten premiere, but i think they will, but maybe not a fight though. for the looks of this promo, it looks like lex had another clone. or maybe darkseid brought him back, but didn’t have that much juice to heal his everything at once.

Cant wait for the grand series finale. I love how they are using the John Williams theme from the orginal Superman movies for there series trailer. Gives me absolute goosebumps!!!!
I’m just glad Michael came back for the Finale of the series—I have missed his presence on Smallville, and, to be honest….I didn’t like the villain named Lex Luthor until I seen Michael’s portrayal of him! That being said, I still think Superman can beat the hell out of Lex…LOL
The Best Promo for Lex Luthor. I love it. They also use the John Williams score from the 1978 superman film. The score appears in the beginning of the film on krypton. This promo pretty much gave me the chills. It looks really great. Michael Rosenbaums Lex Luthor pretty much completes the story of smallville. Without him I don’t think you would have a good ending. Now that he is back everything is in full circle and we will have a defacto series finale.

These Lat 7-8 Smallville Superman Finale Teaser Trailers have been so AWESOME, FANTASIC, INCREDIBLE that i am totally excited not only for the the last 5 episodes of Smallville ever, but the Series Finale much much more. Im totally geeking out right now!!!
