While the suit is a big deal i dont think the should treat the suit it self like a huge deal all season it is only a costume til he wears it. Only then is it the symbol.

i think the second one was more of a generalize promoting the show and not that the routh suit is in a frozen chunk of ice in the fos
Smallville Season 10 @ sV on
Therein lay the success of SMALLVILLE. The program is not so much about superheroes as it is about the interrelationship between characters. Yes, there are a number of heroes and villains who make appearances throughout the program. Yes, there are a number of action sequences and over the top plotlines that comprise the series. In the end, however, the success of the program centers on how it humanizes its characters and provides them with sense of depth not seen in hero programming before.

I wonder what I’d be thinking if I wasn’t a regular Smallville viewer. I guess I’d be wondering why Chloe is picking up a helmet, and who the bald guy was. I’d also be hoping that they don’t burn Lois.
I can look at these 2 second clips over and over and over again just like I do every SV episode. I know I will be mourning SV for a very long time when season 10 is over next May. But I will console myself by thinking about and being greatful for 10 years of pure gold!
I’d say that SV has been about the “silent years” or the years of obscurity that an eventual hero must, often times thanklessly, skulk through in order to step into prominence once their “wilderness” experience has molded them into the type of person they’ll need to be in order to endure the unforeseen challenges that await. Clark had visible super powers from episode one; the series has focused primarily on the stages of his development not so easily seen, the gaps missing in the Superman myth as told by the comics, movies, etc… as well as the internal moral sculpting that has led up to the portrait of the fully fleshed out hero we were all familiar with prior to the show’s creation. This is Western literature in a nutshell, Joseph Campbell called these classic narratives, “hero myths” and the Superman story is as iconic a hero myth as you’ll find in American pop culture, maybe in all of what’s considered serious American literature. This show has taken the most instantly recognizable character in all of comic book lore and has presented him in a dazzlingly unique way. That’s the crowning achievement of Smallville.
These are excellent!
Does the Lex video mean they were able to get Michael back for at least one episode…? I sure hope so, ’cause if not they are HUGE teasers! ;)
Looking forward to Sept. 24 !!!

Sweet, just like Clark in season 1 on the cross
