A TV series based on the Marvel Comics character Silk might be the first of several possible projects based on the Spider-Man group of characters that are controlled by Sony, and multiple outlets report today that they are in talks with Amazon Prime Video as a potential place for the project to land.
Silk focuses on a Korean-American character, Cindy Moon a.k.a. Silk, who first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man comics in 2014. The character was created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, and Cindy was present the day Peter was bitten by a radioactive spider and she was also bitten, but ended up with slightly different powers.
Good Trouble and Atypical writer Lauren Moon is in talks to write the potential Silk TV show, which will be executive produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who have an overall deal to develop the Marvel characters that Sony controls for television.
