Good grief: You know you’ve landed in the world of pop culture when you’re getting parodied on late-night TV. That, at least, is what we saw for Riverdale earlier this week as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon did a send-up of the CW series.
You’re not sniffing Jingle Jangle: That is Jimmy Fallon and his crew doing their Riverdale-esque take on the iconic Charles M. Schulz comic strip Peanuts. Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroder, Franklin, and even Peppermint Patty and Marcy are represented within. Watch all the way through for some surprises, and for all that is holy, Archie — we mean Charlie, we don’t want to hear the song you wrote about it.
The parody is quite good, though – not as brilliant as Jimmy’s Saved by the Bell skit from a few years back, but still quite amusing and laughter-inducing.
Check out the video below; Riverdale airs Wednesdays on The CW. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon can be seen weeknights on NBC.
