The pilot episode of the upcoming Riverdale TV series will have its first public screening tonight at the Comic-Con International in San Diego, and that’s not all that will be available for the fans who are anxiously anticipating this Archie Comics TV adaptation that will be airing on The CW.
This pilot screening will be a big deal as most press has not yet seen the Riverdale pilot, nor has a trailer been publicly exhibited. The show is set to premiere at midseason on The CW.
Today, Archie Comics unveiled Riverdale poster art from talented artist Francesco Francavilla (Afterlife With Archie). The poster features the likenesses of actors KJ Apa (Archie), Lili Reinhart (Betty), Camila Mendes (Veronica), Cole Sprouse (Jughead), Madleaine Petsch (Cheryl Blossom), Ashleigh Murray (Josie of the Pussycats), Casey Cott (Kevin Keller), and Luke Perry (Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews). The poster will be available at Booth 1829 of the convention; the Riverdale panel will be held on Saturday.
