It was already said that the CW pilot Riverdale had a Twin Peaks vibe to it… now, it will have more of one.
Deadline is reporting that Twin Peaks veteran Mädchen Amick has landed the role of Betty’s mom, Alice Cooper. (I guess our casting suggestion didn’t take…)
Amick is described by Deadline as “editor of the local paper, described as a steely perfectionist who places exceedingly high expectations on her daughter, Betty (Lili Reinhart).”
Riverdale is hoping for a spot on The CW’s 2016-2017 schedule, which will be formally announced May 19. Also recently cast in the pilot is Marisol Nichols as Veronica’s mother, Hermione Lodge.
