Deadline is reporting on another casting for The CW’s Riverdale pilot based on the world of Archie Comics.
Newcomer Camila Mendes (Randy Doe) has landed the role of Veronica Lodge. Her Veronica is described as an “intelligent and confident” as well as “silver-tongued” high school sophomore who returns to Riverdale from New York, eager to reinvent herself after a scandal involving her father.
She joins KJ Apa, Luke Perry, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Ashleigh Murray, and Madelaine Petsch who were all announced as being part of the cast earlier this week. Riverdale is shooting next month in Vancouver for a possible spot on The CW’s schedule for the next TV season.
