Revenge Season 2: Emily’s Next Move Revealed In Poster Art

ABC has released “poster art” for the upcoming second season of Revenge, and it spotlights Emily Van Camp’s Emily Thorne.

Of course, the “next move” the poster refers to is the move of Revenge to Sundays at 9PM following Once Upon A Time; you do have to admit, it’s a pretty clever slogan and promo campaign. The series returns September 30 on ABC. Check out the new poster:

Here’s ABC’s description for Season Two:

Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) took the Hamptons by storm last summer as the intriguing new arrival to this exclusive community. By all appearances, she is a friendly and sophisticated “girl next door” whose disarming charm and generosity have allowed her seamless access to the restricted circles of the Hamptons high society. However Emily Thorne is anything but what she seems: Hiding behind an assumed identity, she is a woman with just one endgame – REVENGE.

When Emily was nine, her father was framed for a horrific crime by the people he trusted most and was sentenced to life in prison. Emily never saw her father again and spent her childhood consumed by loss, betrayal and rage. Seventeen years later she returned to the Hamptons, determined to take down every person involved in the conspiracy against her father. Lying squarely in her crosshairs are the Graysons, led by matriarch and renowned socialite Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) and shrewd business tycoon Conrad Grayson (Henry Czerny). Carefully and methodically, Emily chipped away at the foundation of this once powerful and untouchable family, using their blue-blooded son, Daniel (Josh Bowman), as a pawn in her intricate plan. Grayson daughter Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) also became a casualty after discovering she is not who she thought she was, but rather the product of an affair of Victoria’s. Amidst all this unraveling, Emily’s former friend, Ashley Davenport (Ashley Madekwe), strategically aligned herself with the Graysons, deviously climbing up the social ladder.

In Montauk, Emily’s childhood love, Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler), took ownership of the Stowaway Tavern and continues to try to be a father figure to his kid brother, Declan (Connor Paolo). His undeniable draw to Emily, though, has inadvertently put him into harm’s way. As for Emily herself, in these moments when her past starts to catch up to her and her heart clouds her focus, she has Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) to turn to — one of the very few people who knows the truth and who is significantly linked to her past, her present and her secret. She will need his help more than ever as she continues her quest for vengeance against the Graysons, who grow only more dogged and dangerous when threatened, willing to do anything to keep their house from crumbling.

With the ante even higher and the conspiracy even larger, what will Emily’s next move be? And can she keep her heart from getting in the way of her resolve to avenge her father?

“Revenge” stars Emily VanCamp (“Brothers & Sisters,” “Everwood”) as Emily Thorne, Madeleine Stowe (“We Were Soldiers,” “The Last of the Mohicans”) as Victoria Grayson, Henry Czerny (“Mission: Impossible,” “Clear and Present Danger”) as Conrad Grayson, Josh Bowman (“Prowl”) as Daniel Grayson, Nick Wechsler (“Roswell”) as Jack Porter, Gabriel Mann (“The Bourne Identity”) as Nolan Ross, Ashley Madekwe (“Secret Diary of a Call Girl”) as Ashley Davenport, Christa B. Allen (“13 Going on 30”) as Charlotte Grayson and Connor Paolo (“Gossip Girl”) as Declan Porter.

“Revenge” is written and executive-produced by Mike Kelley (“Swingtown”), along with executive producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey (“Twilight”). Sunil Nayar (“Body of Proof”), Mark Perry (“One Tree Hill”) and Melissa Loy (“The Beautiful Life”) also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by ABC Studios.
