Fans will not be able to see what happens next for Dr. Ben Song, Addison, and their team as Quantum Leap has been canceled after two seasons on NBC. There will not be a Quantum Leap Season 3 this time around.
The series which starred Raymond Lee had built a fandom similar to the original NBC series that starred Scott Bakula, and many may have hoped that eventually, Bakula would show up so that Dr. Sam Beckett would finally make his way home. Sadly, that did not happen. Ben Song’s story, however, did have a little bit of a happy ending, as he was reunited with Addison (in some way at least) in the Season 2 finale.
Ernie Hudson, Nanrisa Lee, and Mason Alexander Park also starred in the series, which frequently touched upon bold topics in the different time periods visited.
It is our hope that NBC at the very least would commission a TV movie so that everyone can come home. But for now, we are grateful for these two seasons.
