Deadline is reporting that FOX wedding dramedy pilot Lovestruck has added Leverage alum Beth Riesgraf, Search Party‘s Jeffrey Self, and Linda Park (Bosch). Riesgraf is set as smart, affable beauty Isabelle, a mother trying to navigate a complicated divorce; Self will play earnest gay accountant Kevin; and Park portrays mellow, fun, and loyal mom Kate.
Inspired by French drama Quadras and written by Tom Kapinos (Californication), the first season of the untitled dramedy takes place over the course of one wedding. The series will delve into the pasts and presents of the wedding party, as well as how the bride and groom made it to this point and the complicated web of relationships that make up their support system.
In addition to her role on the TNT drama, Riesgraf’s television credits include Complications and Criminal Minds; Self has appeared on Gay of Thrones and Difficult People; and Park has been seen on The Affair and The Resident. They join a cast that features Rachel Bilson, Andie MacDowell, Kathleen Turner, Richard Roxburgh, Madeline Wise, and Usman Ally.
Lovestruck is part of a drama pilot slate for FOX that consists of cop drama Deputy, starring Stephen Dorff; Southern soap Filthy Rich; A.I. thriller neXt; serial killer drama Prodigal Son, which recast its lead recently; and an untitled fertility drama executive produced by Jason Katims that starsBrittany Snow.
