Cinemax has released a new trailer for demon drama Outcast and in it, we see that Kyle’s battle with Sidney is only just beginning.
From Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Outcast follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a man whose past has been defined by the trauma resulting from his mother’s demonic possession. Though Kyle opts to sequester himself away from the rest of the world for fear of hurting someone, as his wife’s possession resulted in an arrest and subsequent restraining order, he becomes quite determined to figure out why demons have seemingly been following him his entire life. Along with the local reverend, a man whose mission for decades has been exorcising the town demons, Kyle attempts to rid his small West Virginia town of the demons that plague them once and for all. Yet the further Kyle gets into his mission for redemption and answers, the more he realizes that the presence of these demons, and his connection to said presence, is more complicated (and deadly) than he could have imagined.
In addition to Fugit, Outcast stars Philip Gleinster (Life on Mars), Wrenn Schmidt (Boardwalk Empire), David Denman (The Office), Kate Lyn Sheil (The Girlfriend Experience), Reg E. Cathey (House of Cards), and Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation).
Outcast airs Fridays at 10:00 on Cinemax. You can check out a preview of the next episode, where Reverend Anderson finds himself increasingly alienated and Kyle is left reeling from Sidney’s revelation, here.
