#4. Fuller House (Netflix)
Surely the most controversial inclusion, being so high on this list, to which I say “suck it, haters.”
Fuller House is pretty much exactly the Full House show I was watching as a 12-year-old in 1990, and I’m extremely impressed by how folks like Andrea Barber can have such comedic timing after being out of acting for two decades. I love that the house is the same; I love the shade thrown at the absent Olsen Twins; and most of all, I love how comfortable and familiar Fuller House is. If you want to hate on it and call it the “worst of television,” you’re absolutely missing the point that the show might just not be aimed at you.
Aimed at someone highly nostalgic though? Yep. Fuller House was perfect for me, and I’m impressed with how, unlike some revivals, it completely matches the tone and feel of the original series. Now if only we had more than 13 episodes per “season.” But yeah, anything that brings Kimmy Gibbler back into my TV world is a good thing, and I offer no apologies for that. Also, can we talk about how wonderful the opening credits are, incorporating clips from the original series with the new ones?
#3. The Flash (The CW)
The ordering of the top three choices on my list was one that I had struggled with; while The Flash had some great episodes in 2016, including the excellent Earth-2 2-parter, Flashpoint and the effects it had on the show have been a little bit of a drag, and I’m hoping for a more optimistic show moving forward. I hate the notion of Cisco ever being miserable, and I don’t like that we missed out on key character developments because Barry messed up the timeline. I’m also waiting for some character development for Candice Patton’s Iris beyond “reacting to Barry and Wally,” and I absolutely can’t stand “H.R.” though that’s probably the point. (Bring back Harry and Jessie please!)
That said, The Flash is still one of the best shows on TV, and Grant Gustin as the title hero is always wonderful, even if his character messes things up possibly more than even Rory Gilmore. I feel like I was harsh on the show in that paragraph up above, but it’s still one of those shows I look forward to the most. And hey – I love what they did with John Wesley Shipp this year, and the “Runaway Dinosaur” episode directed by Kevin Smith was also a big highlight.

Cannot disagree with your top 3. Legends should be in the top 10 though as well. Supergirl as #1 is tops and Tyler Hoechlin is a so much better Superman/Clark Kent than that effeminate Christopher Reeve and second rate doppleganger Brandon Routh (although I totally enjoy him as Ray Palmer/the Atom!).
